Application problems for quadratic functions.  We will use our graphing calculators to assist us in solving application problems involving quadratic functions.  We will work on finding a correct viewing window, finding maximums, minimums, and zeros.

Solving equations by factoring.  We will discuss taking out the GCF as the first step of factoring, special patterns, and checking our solutions.

Assignment: No assignment due to the number of students out of class to take group pics.

Trig Identity Square  :)   Students work in pairs to complete the puzzle using trig identities.  The pair with the most correct answers will get a prize!

ALGEBRA II, WEDNESDAY 10-28-09

Graphing in vertex and intercept forms.  We will learn how to use the graphing calculator to find the max/min and zeros of a quadratic function.

(4th hour: Lots of kids were gone for pics so we did bonus puzzles.  We will catch up tomorrow :) )
